Emmy Award winning actress and comedian, JUDY GOLD brings her stand-up comedy concert to Baruch Performing Arts Center on Friday, October 10 at 8pm. AN EVENING WITH JUDY GOLD features Gold's non-stop, hilarious stand-up that leaves no stone unturned - her Jewish mother, her kids, getting older, and everything and anything else that racks her nerves. In addition to numerous TV appearances, JUDY GOLD is perhaps best known as the star of two critically acclaimed long-running Off Broadway hit shows, The Judy Show! My Life As a Sitcom (Outer Critics Circle nominee) and 25 Questions for a Jewish Mother (GLADD Award, Drama Desk nominee). The New York Times called her "fiercely funny, honest and moving," and the Huffington Post exclaimed "Comedic Gold: A funny and fantastic ride!" She has been twice nominated for funniest female stand-up at The American Comedy Awards and won 2 Emmys for her work on The Rosie O'Donnell Show.

Gold has had comedy specials on HBO, Comedy Central & Logo. She appears regularly on The View and The Wendy Williams Show. She has most recently appeared on 2 Broke Girls (CBS), Melissa & Joey (ABC Family), Celebrity Wife Swap (ABC), Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-Off (TFN), Chopped All-Stars (TFN), 30 Rock (NBC), and The Big C (Showtime). This year, she played Shirley in the Off-Broadway hit, Disaster! The Musical. She is also the host of the Funny People Series at The 92nd Street Y and a contributor to The Moth.

October is LGBT month at Baruch College. Also taking place this month at Baruch Performing Arts Center are Karen Finley: Written in Sand, The Kinsey Sicks, Alec Mapa: I Remember Mapa, a screening of the documentary Saving Amy with a talkback from the director, and more.

Baruch Performing Arts Center is celebrating its tenth anniversary this month. It is a unit of the Weissman School of Arts and Sciences at Baruch College, part of the CUNY system.
