Michael Musto is a well-known gay journalist and TV personality who writes the weekly "Musto Unfiltered" column for NewNowNext.com. The groundbreaking author of the "La Dolce Musto" column in the Village Voice for 29 years, he's also had bylines in the New York Times, Vanity Fair, and New York magazine. Musto is a regular commentator on TV, chiming in on pop cultural topics on CNN and other channels, as well as being a cohost of Theater Talk, which is making a return this year. Musto has had four books published, including the nonfiction guide Downtown, the roman-a-clef novel Manhattan on the Rocks, and the collections La Dolce Musto and Fork on the Left, Knife in the Back. He has acted in indie films like Vamp Bikers and the upcoming Japanese Borscht, sings in Musto Duets nights at Club Cumming (for charity), and was named to the Out 100 of influential LGBTQs
Tim Cusack was the co-founder and artistic of Theatre Askew. For Askew he conceived, co-adapted, co-directed and appeared as Caligula in the company’s six-part serial adaptation of I, Claudius, and directed the world premiere of William M. Hoffman’s Cornbury: The Queen’s Governor with David Greenspan and Everett Quinton. He appeared on stage for Askew in Bald Diva! (Notable Performance of the Year—TheaterMania & NYTheater.com), The Tempest, i google myself, and Horseplay, or the Fickle Mistress: A Protean Picaresque in the Ellen Stewart Theatre at La MaMa. He has previously directed the premieres of Bianca Leigh’s solo musical Busted and Linda Simpson’s comedy The Emperor’s New Codpiece at the Laurie Beechman. He has the dubious distinction of being the only go-go boy to ever “dance” at all three locations of the legendary dive bar and sleazefest The Cock. He is a Next magazine “Future Legend,” a 2007 NYTheatre.com Person of the Year, and an inductee to the Indy Theater Hall of Fame.
