Acclaimed LA-based performers Tom DeTrinis (Tilda Swinton Answers An Ad on Craigslist, Bright Colors and Bold Patterns) and Stefanie Black (Bachleorette) bring their hit Bette Midler tribute comedy A DAY AT THE BEACHES to New York for a one-night-only East Coast premiere. It will run Tuesday, April 23 at 7pm at The Laurie Beechman Theatre inside the West Bank Cafe (407 West 42 Street at 9th Avenue in Manhattan). Tickets are $22 (or $35 for a VIP ticket which includes reserved seating and a meet-and-greet) and may be purchased at www.SpinCycleNYC.com, or by phone at 212-352-3101. Please note that there is a $20 food/beverage minimum at all performances at this venue, with a full bar and a full dinner menu available.
Stef and Tom are best friends with their sites set on fame. But more importantly, Stef and Tom are Bette Midler's biggest fans. Join them as they attempt to celebrate the Divine Miss M by spending A DAY AT THE BEACHES. These two spitfires will take you through their, um, unique take on the entire soundtrack of the hit motion picture masterpiece, BEACHES. One song at a time. And yes, even that song from Dumbo.
