Drag star PAIGE TURNER cooks up the Gayest Show on Earth with THIS SHOW IS GAY!, on October 6 & 7 at the Laurie Beechman Theatre (407 West 42 Street, inside West Bank Café). Showtime is 7:00 PM. In THIS SHOW IS GAY!, Paige Turner enlists the help of friends Jackie Cox and Remy Germinario to take audiences on an outrageous gay romp. This live sung phantasmagorical adventure features songs from La La Land, Mary Poppins, Victor Victoria, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and so much more.
Known as the Carol Burnett of Drag, “Showbiz Spitfire” PAIGE TURNER is one the original creators, producers and host of NYC’s live drag reality show “So You Think You Can Drag?” She is a Glam Award winner and is known for her over the top parodies on you tube. In addition to being a regular headliner at the Laurie Beechman, she also tours throughout the country in her all live one woman shows and coined the phrase Slurp!
JACKIE COX burst onto the NYC drag scene in 2010 as 1st Runner-Up in the 1st season of the long running New World Stages "So You Think You Can Drag?" competition. Since then she has headlined her own shows off-Broadway in NYC ("Jackie Cox: Westward Ho" at New World Stages) and beyond ("Jackie Cox: I had it in me!" at the Theatre Out in Orange County, CA). She has also appeared in shows at the Laurie Beechman Theater (“Make America Gay Again”, "Paige Turner's Easter Eggstravaganza"), and The Crown & Anchor of Provincetown ("Gypsies"). Recently, Jackie appeared on TV in Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live", winning the title of "Real Queen of Beverly Hills" for her impersonation of TV personality and Depends undergarment spokeswoman, Lisa Rinna.
REMY GERMINARIO is thrilled to be back at the Beechman with Paige and Jackie as was previously seen in Paige Turner's Easter Egg-Stravaganza!New York Theatre: More Than All The World (Theatre For The New City), Boys Who Tricked Me (MT Factory), Bradley Cole (FringeNYC Award Winner), When I Started Dating Men (Dixon Place).
