Oh, the horrors! In MOXIE MAGNUS & THE ALIEN ANDROIDS FROM URANUS, our brains are being invaded by otherworldly beings! But who will save the day? Never fear: it is Lt. Moxie Anne Magnus, Chief Cosmetologist of the USS Enterprise to the rescue! She'll sing! She'll dance! She'll play the ukulele! She'll use an arsenal of vaudeville humor to excise those probing invaders from Uranus!
At roughly 8 feet tall (most of it heels and hair) MOXIE MAGNUS is a giant of fashion and fun. Before she started entertaining audiences, this Starfleet Academy space cadet graduated from the school of xenocosmetology at the top of her class. She went on to serve as Chief Cosmetologist aboard the USS Enterprise under Captain James T. Kirk. She does a weekly video podcast, writes a blog and entertains audiences with her comedic adventures in space. Don't know much about Star Trek? Don't worry, she's a broad with broad humor --laughs are guaranteed!
Savannah, Georgia's Brantley Moate boldly goes where few have gone before as the man behind Moxie. Brantley and some friends started dressing in Starfleet regulation mini skirts to attend conventions and have some laughs. As Moxie grew the laughs did too and before long Moxie was introducing acts, acting as MC and finally performing stand up on her own. Brantley writes all of Moxie's material, which ranges from Star Trek specific shows to general pop culture standup for the non-sci-fi crowd. Moxie has performed in Georgia, Florida and all 3 states that start with an "I" (Iowa, Indiana and Illinois) -- at conventions including Gaylaxicon, Timegate, Dragon*con, Starbase Indy, Outlantacon and Trek Fest. Moxie made her New York City premiere last year with MOXIE MAGNUS: QUEEN OF OUTER SPACE at The Laurie Beechman Theatre.
