RuPaul's Drag Race star trio of Shangela, Laganja Estranja and Alyssa Edwards makes NYC debut

The Haus of Edwards makes its New York City cabaret debut at The Laurie Beechman Theatre for one night only -- Sunday, June 14 -- with two performances: 9:30 PM and 11:15 PM. RuPaul's Drag Race stars Alyssa Edwards, Shangela, and Laganja Estranga make up the Haus of Edwards, and perform an energetic, choreographed melange of original songs and covers. "You come to a Haus of Edwards show and you’re gonna get high energy numbers onstage," says Shangela. "Even if we are doing ballads, they are still going to have energy, baby." The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located inside West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42 Street. Tickets are $22 (with a $40 VIP meet & greet ticket available)/. Alyssa Edwards first rose to prominence in the 20008 documentary Pageant, and was named Miss Gay America in 2010 before being stripped of the title. Alyssa competed on Season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race. She owns a Texas dance school called Beyond Belief, and is currently filming a reality TV show about her career and life.
As a multi-faceted entertainer, D.J. Pierce (Shangela Laquifa Wadley) goes beyond his genre's classic nightclub performances by stretching his reach to the Hollywood scene both in and out of drag. He has guest starred on every major television network on shows that include: "Bones" (FOX), "Bold And The Beautiful" (CBS), "The Mentalist" (CBS), “2 Broke Girls” (CBS), "Glee" (FOX), "Community" (NBC), and "Detroit 187" (ABC). His cable television credits include Lifetime's "Dance Moms", WE Television's “LA Hair”, and E! Network's “The Soup” and "Hello Ross!" He recently debuted alongside veteran actress Jenifer Lewis in an online scripted series called “Jenifer Lewis and Shangela”, launched a new stand up comedy DVD called “Laquifa is Halleloosin' It!” and has released two songs which were both featured on Lifetime's "Dance Moms." His most well-known credit though is being the only contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race history to compete in two seasons (2 and 3).
Laganja Estranja competed on Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race. In December 2012, Laganja competed in her first contest at Micky's in West Hollywood, Ca, and won a monthly spot as an official performer in "Showgirls, the Rusical". Since then, she's been sweeping out the competition and has received numerous titles such as Drag Idol, Queen of Dallas, and 2055 Top Newcomer. Currently, Laganja is a returning performer at Micky's, Hamburger Mary's WeHo, The Abbey, Rage, 340 nightclub,and other LA hotspots. She appeared as a contortionist alongside Christina Aguilera on The American Music Awards.
